Product Review: Fit Flop Sandals
For those of you fashion misfits who still are wearing Crocs. Please. Stop. Now.
I hate Crocs. Especially on anyone above the age of 12. I understand they are supposedly super comfortable. But they look heinous. And if you wear a Size 9 like me, you look like you have some foot disease wearing them. And I read on the news that they are dangerous on escalators.
Anyway, Fit Flops are waaaay better. What are Fit-Flops? They are super duper comfortable ( you can walk in them all day and not get feet-ache) footwear designed by Dr.David Cook and Darren James of London South Bank University, and thanks to the sandals’ Microwobble technology they give your legs and buns a workout ( up to 20% more) compared to normal sandals and they look great.
Fitflops have taken the UK and US by storm and have been endorsed by many celebrity fitness trainers as well. They’re also great for those of you who suffer from leg pains due to ill-fitting footwear.
I got a pair of Fitflop sandals 3 months back and I’ve never looked back. My only regret is that I can only wear the sandals when I’m dressed casually. This is my first pair ( a model called Pietra):
And these are my 2nd and 3rd pairs ( model Electra in black and grey):
And I wish I can get them in Rokkit (new model) … ( but I’m trying to keep to a budget. So maybe when one of my current pair is worn out…)
The sandals fit very well and are so comfortable I even use them when I’m speed-walking on the treadmill. Very convenient indeed. So what do you think? Fitflops or Crocs?
PS/ In Malaysia, they are available at Isetan KLCC and Robinsons’ at The Gardens Midvalley
PSS/ These Fitflops come in many forms – shoes, sandals and even boots. I haven’t tried the shoes or boots, mainly because I don’t like how those look : p
